Benji was found outside in Wasco, California, before being rescued by San Francisco-based Wonder Cat Rescue in partnership with KitTea Cat Cafe. Saved from an overcrowded shelter, he quickly became a beloved foster, bringing joy to countless visitors—including us, who couldn’t resist his playful energy and would bring him into our family. From a scrawny kitten, Benji blossomed into a fluffy marshmallow with a special talent for curling up into any circular object—whether a basket, a tray, or anything remotely round.
Nicknamed the Careless Flopper, Benji was a loving, floppy cat known for his signature somersaults, a joyful way of showing his love for friendly pats. He wasn’t just a companion to humans—he was also a kind and generous mentor to the many shy foster cats who came into our home. Even after his passing, Benji remains the spiritual guardian of our home, inspiring us to continue rescuing and fostering in his honor, ensuring more community cats receive the love and care they deserve.
