Mesophyll is the tissue of a leaf - the unexpected glaze reactions on this piece capture the mesmerizing beauty of mesophylls with green, blue, gold oilspots. This saucer is made with humble reclaimed clay - an amalgamation of different clay types, recycled to be given a chance to become something. It is a mini bubble plate with a hollow, round rim. Despite the lack of any sharp corners on a bubble plate, it could be a kiln bomb if not well prepared for firings. Making bubble plates is a fun challenge for potters such as myself!
